Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Here’s a delicious recipe to remind you that simple can still be amazing.
Ingredients
- 3 cups (380 grams) all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks (227 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
- 1 ¼ cups (247 grams) light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 cups (340 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat the butter and both sugars until creamy, about 2 minutes, in a separate bowl.
- Add in the vanilla and eggs, then mix in the flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly soft.
- Cool on a wire rack — or you can enjoy warm (and maybe a glass of milk).
